Grand Alliance committed to Bihar's development, says Nitish Kumar
Patna, Dec 8: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday, Dec 8 said the Grand Alliance government is committed to ensure to people of Bihar basic amenities which are part of the common minimum programme of the alliance partners.
"We are working on our seven resolves (nishchay) for the development of Bihar," Nitish Kumar said in the state assembly during a discussion.

He announced setting up of a cabinet committee chaired by him to monitor the progress on the seven resolves and sought the opposition's cooperation and help in this regard.
The seven resolves of the Grand Alliance of the Janata Dal-United, Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress aim at providing basic amenities like tap water, electricity and toilets to all households, road connectivity to all villages, unemployment allowance, and easy loans to students to pursue higher education.
Nitish Kumar made the promise on the issues during campaigning for the 2015 Bihar assembly elections.
The chief minister said Bihar would continue to register high growth rate in the coming years as well.
"Bihar's contribution to the country's development has been regularly increasing and it will increase further," he said.
He said the state government would impart computer education and communication skills, including spoken English, to all youth in the state.
