Graft case registered against 3 officials in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 25: A case under Prevention of Corruption Act was today registered against three officials of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) in connection with illegal construction of a commercial complex here.

A spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Organisation said the case was registered after a surprise check conducted by a team of sleuths of the construction site at Manderbagh.

He said the team found that 2340 square feet plinth area was illegally raised by Saleema of Manderbagh without following building norms and without proper permission from concerned municipal authorities.
