Govt dismisses reports on Padma awards, calls it 'speculative'
New Delhi, Jan 23: Government today dismissed media reports in which the names of this year's recipients of Padma awards were listed, saying they were "speculative".
"Government has not yet announced the Padma awards for the Year 2015. These awards are announced on 25th of January every year, on the eve of the Republic Day.

"The names appearing in the media are speculative and there is no official confirmation for the same," a Home Ministry statement said.
According to the reports, the list of awardees includes the names of BJP leader LK Advani, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth.
