Gopinath Munde's daughter Panakaja throws her hat in the ring, says I am also CM nominee

Maharashtra, Oct 18:The Assembly elections in both Haryana and Maharashtra were fought in the name of Narendra Modi and the exit polls are also indicating that BJP will clearly make it a win in both these states.

But after winning the biggest problem for the party will be to announce the CM candidates in both Maharashtra and Haryana. It seems that Devendra Fadnavis is the frontrunner for CM candidate post in Maharashtra, but Gopinath Munde's daughter Pankaja Munde-Palwe has laso staked her claim for the chief minister's post.

She was quoted as saying in an Indian Express report, "Yes, I am the nominee for the CM post. And if the party assigns me the job I am willing to take the responsibility."

Calling herself BJP's true mass leader in Maharashtra, Pankaja, the late Gopinath Munde's daughter, also said that other contendors in the race for chief ministerial post are "metro leaders".

If the BJP wins and forms government in the state, then those who are in the race for the chief minister's job are Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Khadse, Vinod Tawde, Sudhir Mungantiwar and Pankaja Munde-Palwe.

When Pankaja was asked what does she want to say about the fact that her lack of experience in governance will be a barrier for the top job, she told Indian Express, "Who among those in the CM race has any experience? Except for the senior leader Eknath Khadse, who was in the Shiv Sena-BJP government as a minister, none of the candidates - Devendra Fadnavis, Vinod Tawde, Sudhir Mungantiwar - have ever worked in a government."

She also added, "Only after Munde's demise these leaders have become pan-Maharashtra leaders. Fadnavis was confined to Nagpur district, Tawde to Mumbai, Mungantiwar to Chandrapur... If Munde was at the top position, the rest of them were at No 8 or 9."

Pankaja also said that her father was a mass leader, but after his death she had to start everything from scratch. She said, "After my father's death I had to begin from scratch. Today, I can state that I have managed both people and politics through an exhaustive campaign across the state. I am happy as I have succeeded in my work."

These elections were fought by depending on the charisma of Narendra Modi and it seems that the poll campaign punch line 'Chalo Chale Modi ke Saath' had a good impact on people and will give good result. But just winning in these these elections is not the task at hand. teh real game will begin only after the results of these Assembly elections are declared.
