Thousands of users have reported issues with Google News, with many experiencing difficulties accessing the service. Downdetector, a platform that aggregates status reports from various sources, including users, highlighted issues with Google services such as Google Search.

The problem seems to be widespread, as reports of the outage are trending on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.

According to Downdetector.com, an outage-tracking website, hundreds of users in India encountered difficulties accessing Google.

The technical issues began around 5:55 PM IST, affecting website and search engine.

Users attempting to access Google News are greeted with error messages indicating that the service is unavailable- 'Your search did not match any news results.' The outage appears to be affecting users across different regions, leading to widespread frustration among those who rely on Google News for their daily updates.

The exact cause of the outage is not yet known. Approximately 78% of users reported encountering problems with the Google website, 19% experienced issues with the search function, and the remaining 4% were unable to access Maps, according to reports on Downdetector's website.
