Google celebrates India's big day
Bangalore, May 16: Tech giant Google joined India's general election result day frenzy with a doodle which shows an inked finger.

Google, which is the most popular internet browser in the country, regularly come up with interesting doodles to mark important days.

The results of 16th Lok Sabha election will be out by the end of the day. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies are seen as favourites to win the maximum seats. All the exit polls have predicted a big win for the NDA.

The BJP and its allies need 272 of the 543 seats in the Lok Sabha to form the next government.

The general election, which went on for 6 weeks, saw a 66 per cent voter turnout and 55.16 crore people voted.

The counting of votes in the nine-phase polls will start at 8 am.
