Current Trends in Gold and Silver Prices Across India for September 2024

For those considering purchasing gold or silver, today's prices are noteworthy. On September 24, 2024, 24-carat gold is priced at ₹74,520 for 10 grams, while 22-carat gold costs ₹68,310 for the same weight. Silver is valued at ₹89,060 per kilogram.

In Mumbai, the price of 24-carat gold stands at ₹74,520 per 10 grams, with silver at ₹89,060 per kilogram. In Delhi, these prices are ₹74,390 and ₹87,900 respectively. Kolkata sees gold priced at ₹74,420 and silver at ₹88,940. Meanwhile, Chennai lists gold at ₹74,740 and silver at ₹89,320.

Comparing to previous days, Mumbai's gold price on September 24 increased by ₹290 from the day before. However, silver saw a decrease of ₹840. In Delhi, gold rose by ₹280 while silver dropped by ₹1,020. Kolkata's gold price went up by ₹280 as well, with silver decreasing by ₹840. Chennai experienced a similar trend with a gold increase of ₹290 and a silver decrease of ₹840.

Over the past week, gold prices have risen by 1.6%. On September 17, the price was ₹73,340 per 10 grams but has now climbed to ₹74,520. This increase is attributed to slight profit-booking opportunities for buyers. Silver prices have also fluctuated; on September 23 it was priced at ₹89,900 per kilogram but has since decreased to ₹89,060.

The futures market reflects these changes as well. On the MCX platform for October 2024 delivery, gold futures remain stable at ₹74,296 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, the December 2024 silver futures contract is trading at a slightly lower rate of ₹89,230 per kilogram.
