An estimated crowd flocked to the Quepem Public Ganeshotsav Mandal grounds in South Goa to purchase annual lottery tickets for the upcoming Ganeshotsav festival.

As many as 1.5 lakh lottery coupons were printed this year, continuing the mandal's rich legacy of crowd-pulling festivities. The anticipation and enthusiasm were palpable as queues stretched nearly 2 kilometres, from the Quepem Sports Complex to Tilamol Junction.

Despite the overwhelming turnout, the event remained orderly, thanks to well-coordinated arrangements by the Quepem Police and Traffic Police. Their deployment ensured effective crowd control, smooth vehicular flow, and public safety.

This lottery event is a significant prelude to Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in South Goa. Locals and visitors alike consider it a tradition to try their luck while being part of a culturally vibrant gathering. Over the years, the Quepem Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal has become synonymous with well-managed, large-scale public festivities.
