Goa iron ore e-auction to take off tomorrow

Panaji, Sep 21: The 11th e-auction of iron ore across Goa will kick off tomorrow. "The 11th e-auction of iron ore will be held on September 22," the website of the State Mines and Geology Department showed.

A total 1.17 million tonnes of ore will be up for grabs. This time, the ore stacked at 53 different locations, including five spots where high grade lumpy ore is stocked, will be put up for e-auction, it said.

The department has listed mines in Codli, Sanquelim, Cuddegal, Shigao, Sonus, Collem, Coshti, Shelvona, Sulcorna, Dignem and Maina for the purpose. The e-auction is held through metal scrap trading corporation.
