In a significant move to reclaim government land, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) demolished illegal structures on a 43,000 square meter plot in Nanwa Razapur on Thursday, January 18. The land, estimated to be worth Rs 87 crore, had been illegally occupied and sold as plots by colonizers.

Notices Issued and Complaint Lodged
Prior to the demolition, GNIDA issued notices to the illegal occupiers, urging them to vacate the premises. Additionally, a complaint was filed at the local police station on January 15 to facilitate the removal of encroachments.
Demolition Carried Out
On Thursday afternoon, a team led by senior manager Nagendra Singh commenced the demolition process. Equipped with dumper trucks and JCBs, the team, under the supervision of authority officials and police personnel, successfully demolished the illegal structures.
Land Reclaimed and Valued
As a result of the demolition drive, GNIDA reclaimed 43,679 square meters of land from the encroachers. The reclaimed land holds an estimated value of Rs 87 crore, highlighting the significance of the operation.
Warning Against Encroachment
GNIDA's officer on special duty, Himanshu Verma, emphasized that Nanwa Razapur is a notified village under the authority's jurisdiction. He issued a stern warning against any attempts to encroach upon the land, emphasizing that legal action would be taken against violators.
Preventive Measures
To prevent future encroachments, Verma instructed the local work circles of GNIDA to maintain strict vigilance over the land in their respective areas. He directed them to promptly address any information received regarding illegal occupation and take appropriate action.
