Arvind Kejriwal wants Rs1 crore to be given to constable's kin

Delhi Police constable Jagbir was killed while another constable Narender sustained serious injuries after being fired upon in west Delhi's Vijay Vihar Monday when they were on patrol duty.
Two of the five involved in the murder -- Santosh alias Lucky, 23, and Ved Rampal, 32 -- were arrested from the Shahbad Dairy area, early Tuesday.
In a letter to Jung, the former chief minister of Delhi cited the decision of his 49-day government which talks about Rs.1 crore financial assistance to family members of police personnel who lose their lives while discharging their duties.
"You are requested to provide an immediate financial assistance to the family of martyr Jagbir Singh under this scheme," Kejriwal said in his letter.
He also urged him "to provide government employment to one member of his family and ensure proper education and well-being of his children".
