Girl student forced to strip by teacher for scoring less marks in exam

A teacher is under investigation after she reportedly imposed a humiliating punishment for a minor.

In a bizarre incident, a class 6th girl student was allegedly beaten up and also was forced to strip for securing one and a half mark in an exam in Uttarakhand's Roorkee district.

In her statement, the victim said,''I was asked to remove my clothes, when I refused teacher slapped me and forcefully started removing my clothes.''

According to the principal of the school,''a teacher was trying to unbutton girl's shirt, I called her and criticized her for her action, suspended her with immediate effect.''

Although the teacher has not been arrested as yet, if she is convicted following investigations, she will face up to five years in prison and will have to pay a hefty fine.

Following the incident, the teacher has been suspended by the principal.
