Girl stoned to death in Muzaffarnagar; father, brother held

Muzaffarnagar, Jan 8: Father and brother of the 19-year-old dalit girl who had allegedly stoned her to death two days ago after catching her in a "compromising" position with a boy of another community, were today arrested by the police.

Jagpal and his son Satish were arrested today in the honour killing case, said Senior Superintendent of Police H N Singh. The girl was found murdered in a field after she went to relieve herself near Malira village, police said.

During the probe, father and his son were found involved in the murder of the girl, the SSP said, adding that they have confessed to have killed her using bricks.
