UP shocker! Father raped 20-year-old girl for 6 months

Meerut, Jul 2: A 20-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father for six months in Nauchandi police station area here, police said today.

The girl complained that her father had raped her on several occasions in the past six months. Upon objecting, he beat her up and threatened to kill her, a police spokesperson said.

Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against the 45-year-old man, Inspector of Nauchandi police station Harsharan Sharma said, adding that he has been arrested and sent to jail.

Medical examination of the girl was conducted after which she was sent to women's police station, the said.
