Girl molested by college principal in Tripura

Agartala, Jan 4: A class 12th girl was allegedly molested by a 56-year-old college principal in his residence at Teliamura in Khowai district of Tripura, police said on Sunday.

Pradip Kumar Dey, who was officiating as the principal of Teliamura Government Degree College, called the daughter of the landlord into his room in which he was residing as a tenant and showed her some obscene photographs in his laptop and molested her yesterday, SP U Bhaumick said.

Bhaumick said the neighbours rescued the girl later, when she raised an alarm.

The father of the victim, who was not at home during the incident, lodged an FIR, following which the man was arrested.
