Girl allegedly abducted, raped inside moving van in Rajkot

Rajkot, Jan 5: A 22-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and raped in a moving van two days ago, and two persons were arrested in this connection today, police said.

Amit Ahir and Bhavesh Barwad (both 20) allegedly abducted the woman from her house near Nana Mauva area on the night of January 3.

"Amit allegedly raped the girl inside the van," said lady police sub-inspector HD Solanki, who is investigating the case.

Bhavesh drives a school van, and he used to pick up the victim's niece.

The same van was used in the crime, she said.

Later, the duo dumped the girl on the road. The girl filed a complaint yesterday and the accused were arrested today.
