Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modis dedication to improving the lives of the underprivileged, emphasizing the success of programs like the Lakhpati Didi scheme and financial assistance to self-help groups.

Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh extolled Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a savior for the impoverished, emphasizing his profound understanding of their struggles. Addressing beneficiaries of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) and the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) schemes, Singh lauded the prime minister's initiatives, particularly the Lakhpati Didi scheme, which aims to empower women in self-help groups (SHGs) by equipping them with skills to earn a sustainable monthly income of at least Rs 1 lakh.

Banks' Support to SHGs

Singh highlighted the significant financial assistance provided by banks to SHGs, amounting to Rs 8.12 lakh crores, which he attributed to Prime Minister Modi's leadership. He expressed his conviction that Modi has emerged as a messiah for the poor, akin to a divine figure.

Women Empowerment and Sanitation

Reflecting on the progress made since India's independence, Singh emphasized the unprecedented focus on women's empowerment and sanitation. He commended the construction of 14 crore toilets, recognizing Prime Minister Modi's concern for women's dignity. Singh lauded Modi's initiative to construct toilets, referring to them as "Ijjat Ghar" (dignity homes), and drew a parallel between Modi's efforts and the legendary Hindu deity Lord Rama's act of liberating Ahilya.

Dig at Rahul Gandhi

In an apparent dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, without explicitly naming him, Singh criticized the practice of undertaking yatras (journeys) to experience poverty. He contrasted this approach with Prime Minister Modi's personal experience of poverty, having been born into a humble family where his mother worked as a domestic helper and his father sold tea at a railway station.

Beneficiaries' Visit to Republic Day Parade

Singh highlighted the unprecedented opportunity provided to the beneficiaries to witness the Republic Day parade in Delhi, underscoring the inclusivity and recognition accorded to them by the government.

Ayodhya Visit

In a moment of religious fervor, Singh inquired about the beneficiaries' plans to visit Ayodhya, prompting the audience to join him in chanting "Jai Siya Ram" and "Jai Shri Ram" slogans.
