Ghulam Ali to perform in Kolkata: Trinamool

Kolkata, Jan 5: Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali and his son will be performing in the city on January 12, it was announced here on Tuesday.

The announcement was made by Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha member and party spokesperson Derek O'Brien.

"Ghulam Ali and his son to perform in the city on Jan 12 at Park Circus Maidan," tweeted O'Brien.

West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee in October had offered Kolkata as a venue for the legendary singer to perform after his proposed concert in Mumbai had to be cancelled following threats by the Shiv Sena.
