Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister KP Maurya has promised strict punishment after a 17-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death in Ghaziabad during Eid celebrations. The attack took place in Khoda's Lokpriya Vihar on Thursday afternoon, and CCTV footage that appears to show the incident circulated online on Saturday, heightening public anger and demands for swift police action.

Police said the teenager was allegedly attacked by another boy during an argument while several friends were present. The injured boy was taken from the scene to a hospital in Noida, where treatment continued through Thursday night. Despite the efforts of doctors, police confirmed that the victim died on Friday morning, a day after the stabbing.

The ACP said the suspect then allegedly stabbed the teenager once and ran away with friends before anyone could stop them. Ghaziabad Eid murder case: Family’s allegations and emotional appeals

The victim's mother claimed that the killing in the Ghaziabad Eid murder case was planned and that her son was trapped. "On Eid, a boy tricked my child into calling him. He was asked if he had ever seen a goat being slaughtered, to which he replied no. Then my child was stabbed... I want justice...," the mother told ANI on Friday, accusing the attackers of deceit.

Describing what happened after receiving a call about the incident, the mother said, "I was not at home; I was on duty. Someone called me and told me that my son had been stabbed. When I came, I saw my son's face. After that, I did not get to see his face again for half a day. I want justice." The family said they would keep pressing their demand.

The mother also criticised the police handling of the Ghaziabad Eid murder case, saying officers reacted too slowly. The mother alleged, "The police are not doing anything, they are sleeping, she alleged. "If the police had acted in time, wouldn't they have been able to catch the person who stabbed my son at 1 o'clock? Wouldn't they have been able to catch him?" she said. Police have not responded publicly to this specific claim.

The teenager's maternal aunt said she saw the suspected attacker at the hospital when the injured boy was being treated, adding to the family's anger. "On the day of Bakra Eid, my child was called from home by deceit. Then he was asked how a goat is slaughtered… Our children have never seen bloodshed. What would they say? They would say they had never seen it. Then he was stabbed in the stomach, and his life ended there," she claimed, linking the events directly to the Ghaziabad Eid murder case.

One of the victim's friends, who said the group was walking together for Eid, recounted the attack in the Ghaziabad Eid murder case. "We were walking down the street on the occasion of Eid. There, the suspect, who was with 4-5 friends, called our friend (the victim) over and said a few words. Soon he pulled out a knife and stabbed my friend in the abdomen. Before we could react, they all fled," the friend said at the hospital.

Community members also spoke about earlier tensions among some youths in the locality, although the family insisted the teenager had no known dispute. The brother said, "My brother died during treatment at the hospital on Friday morning. He recently cleared his class 10 examinations. He had no enmity with the suspect.
