Gen VK Singh says money transcations were accounted for in J&K

He said: "When I said the money was given to the politicians, I never meant that the money was for their personal use or their political use. It was solely for the activities that would support the government. They were meant for the infrastructure and for social events, to maintian peace, nothing else."
He went on to add that all this money was accounted for and supervised, following all the procedures and that it would be wrong to intrepret that the ministers were bribed. "The money was used to get people away from seperatist events," he said.

He also said that unless necessary, he would never discuss anything that was not for the betterment of the nation. "It is sad that this had come to the public domain following the report that was leaked out. The report should not have been made public but it is unfortuntate. Do we reveal how the intelligece bureau or any other national organisation works?"
He alleged that the secret report was a delibrate attempt to divert the attention. He demanded that the government must act on the secret report.
