Srinagar: Syed Geelani condemns killing of slain Sarpanch's brother

Srinagar, Nov 18: Hardline Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Tuesday condemned the killing of brother of a slain Sarpanch by unidentified gunmen in Awantipora area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

"We strongly condemn the killing of Ghulam Mohiuddin Dar by unidentified gunmen in Dogripora (Awantipora). Killing unarmed and innocent people is not justified," Geelani said in a statement.

Dar was shot dead inside his residential premises on Sunday night by unidentified gunmen. His brother, Mohammad Shaban Dar, a Sarpanch, was also shot dead by gunmen last year.
