Gayatri Parivar to make bonfire of obscene pics on Holi
Haridwar, Mar 8: Gayatri Parivar, a prominent spiritual organisation based in the city with branches all over the country, will make a bonfire of obscene pictures and literature on women this Holi.
Making the announcement on the occasion of International Women's Day, Gayatri Parivar chief Pranav Pandya said here today that young volunteers of the organisation will make the bonfire simultaneously at 1459 places across the country on March 23 and 24 as part of Holi celebrations.

Describing it as a unique initiative to cleanse young minds, Pandya said seeing and reading obscene stuff is as bad as doing something obscene.
"All we see, good or bad, gets registered in our sub-conscious mind and contributes to the shaping up of our personality. So the quality of what we see to a large extent determines the quality of how we think. Hence seeing good is as important as doing good," Pandya said, explaining the idea behind the unique initiative.
