Gautam Adani Visits Prayagraj And ISKCON: A Blend Of Service And Spirituality
On January 21, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, paid a visit to Prayagraj, the heart of the Maha Kumbh Mela. His visit symbolised a commitment to unity, purity and service, reflecting his belief in spirituality as a means to serve humanity and the divine.
Adani first visited ISKCON's service camp in the Mahakumbh Mela area, where his group, in collaboration with ISKCON, is providing free and pure food to over 100,000 devotees daily through the "Mahaprasad Seva." Adani reviewed the kitchen where the Mahaprasad is prepared and emphasised that serving devotees is akin to serving Mother Ganga. Highlighting his spiritual approach, he stated that acts of service, when performed with a pure heart, reach directly to God.

After visiting ISKCON, Gautam Adani went to the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the rivers Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati. Known for its deep mythological significance, the Sangam is believed to be the site where drops of nectar fell during the churning of the ocean. At this sacred site, Adani offered prayers for the well-being of his family and the country.
Prayagraj, known as 'Teerthraj,' holds immense spiritual and historical importance. Adani visited the renowned Lete Hanuman Temple, one of India's 16 famous Hanuman temples, and offered prayers, showcasing his respect for the city's rich spiritual heritage.
During his visit, Gautam Adani reviewed the efforts of the Geeta Press camp, which is distributing one crore free Aarti Sangrah books during the Maha Kumbh. He lauded the press for its century-long service to Sanatan literature and its unparalleled contributions to Indian culture and spirituality.
Adani also met with sanitation workers responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the sprawling Kumbh Mela area. Acknowledging their tireless efforts, he commended them for ensuring that the ghats and roads remain spotless despite the influx of millions of devotees.

In addition, the Adani Group has made arrangements for the convenience of devotees, including golf carts for the elderly, disabled and mothers with small children. Furthermore, five lakh copies of Geeta Saar will be distributed to visitors, spreading the essence of the Bhagavad Gita.
The Adani Group's Mahaprasad service, running from January 13 to February 26, is set to serve five million devotees. ISKCON has established two large kitchens to prepare the food, with 40 distribution points across the Mahakumbh area.
Gautam Adani described the Maha Kumbh as a grand yagna of Indian culture, where service is the highest form of charity. His visit to Prayagraj exemplified a blend of spiritual devotion and actionable service, reflecting his commitment to supporting India's cultural and spiritual ethos.
Through initiatives like Mahaprasad Seva, Geeta Press collaborations, and efforts to maintain cleanliness, the Adani Group's contributions have reinforced the essence of the Maha Kumbh as a spiritual and humanitarian endeavour.
