Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, offered his condolences through a social media post on Thursday after an Air India flight bound for London tragically crashed shortly after take-off. The incident involved a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, carrying 242 individuals. The crash occurred just outside Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. This devastating event has left the nation in mourning, with significant reactions from both political and industrial sectors.
In his post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Gautam Adani said, "We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragedy of Air India Flight 171. Our hearts go out to the families who have suffered an unimaginable loss. We are working closely with all authorities and extending full support to the families on the ground."

According to the reports, the aircraft, identified as flight AI-171, departed at approximately 1:38 PM. Within five minutes of take-off, the pilot issued a mayday signal to Air Traffic Control. Unfortunately, the plane crashed soon after this distress call. The exact cause of the crash remains unknown as investigations by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) are ongoing.
Passenger Details and Nationalities
The flight had 230 passengers and 12 crew members on board. Among them were 169 Indian nationals, along with 53 from the UK, seven from Portugal, and one Canadian citizen. As of now, there is no official information regarding casualties or survivors. Rescue operations continue at the crash site.
