Gauri Lankesh murder: SIT draws up list of 5 suspects

The similarity in the weapon used in these murders and also that of Gauri Lankesh also led the police to believe that the motive and the group could be the same.

The Special Investigating Team has drawn up a list of five suspects in the Gauri Lankesh murder case. The probe team suspects that these persons could have carried out the murder of Gauri Lankesh and they are the same who were also involved in the blast at Madgaon in Goa.

Praveen Limkar from Kolhapur, Jayaprakash alias Anna from Mangalore, Rudra Patil from Sangli, Sarang Akolkar from Pune and Vinay Pawar from Satara are on the suspect list of the SIT.

The names of Rudra Patil, Akolkar and Pawar had cropped up earlier during the probes conducted into the murders of Narendra Dabholkar, M M Kalburgi and Govind Pansare.
