The investigations being conducted into the Gauri Lankesh murder case increasingly suggests that there could have been just one assailant. The various angles captured by the CCTV footage suggests that the killer was alone.
The CCTV footage shows that a man in a white formal shirt wearing a helmet had visited Gauri's house thrice on September 5, the day she was murdered. The first visit was made by him at 3.15 pm, the footage suggests.
All three times he is seen riding his motorcycle. The third time he arrived at the scene he is scene with a sling bag, which the police say was used to conceal his weapon.
Meanwhile the Special Investigation Team has been questioning a number of persons in connection with the case. While no arrests have been made as yet, the officers working on the case say several have been questioned.
The probe is being undertaken in multiple angles. The ballistics, leads, forensic evidence are all being taken into consideration. It was revealed during the probe that the killer fired four bullets. The second shot apparently missed her and hit a wall. The first, third and fourth bullets were lodged into her body, investigations suggest.
