Gauri Lankesh had no personal enmities, only ideological adversaries, says brother
Indrajit Lankesh, brother of a slain journalist on Thursday said that Gauri Lankesh had strong ideological views, be it about Naxals or the right wing.
While speaking to media, Indrajit said,''We are all together to ensure justice for my sister. We will give all the cooperation the SIT needs. What she did with the Naxals was admirable, she was trying to bring them to mainstream.''
Indrajit also said,''CM said if the family wants we can give the case to CBI. I had only said I appreciate the gesture, we just want justice.''
''For 14 yrs she ran the publication without any advertising, from her savings. Continued father's legacy, I am proud of her,'' Indrajit added.
Indrajit said,''She had no personal enmities, only ideological adversaries. Please don't give this incident political or ideological colour. Don't use for the benefit, my request as a brother and human.''
Meanwhile, the chief minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said as the slain editor's brother ruled out personal enmity as a reason for the killing, Karnataka is open to a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into senior journalist Gauri Lankesh's murder.
