GATE Expected Cut Off 2025: What To Expect For Each Engineering Branch

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 is one of the most challenging exams for engineering and science graduates. Conducted by IIT Roorkee, this exam plays a key role in determining eligibility for M.Tech admissions, recruitment by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and entry into doctoral programs in top institutions across India.

Once the GATE 2025 exam is completed, candidates will be eager to understand the expected cut-off marks in order to assess their performance. IIT Roorkee will announce the official GATE 2025 cut-off alongside the results. Candidates who score above the minimum cut-off will be shortlisted for the next stage of the admission process.

Factors Affecting GATE Cut-Off 2025

Several factors influence the GATE cut-off, which is declared after the results:

1. Difficulty level of the exam: A more difficult exam generally leads to a lower cut-off.

2. Number of candidates: With an increase in the number of candidates (around 8 lakh applicants for GATE 2025), the cut-off may be higher compared to previous years.

3. Number of candidates clearing the exam: The higher the number of candidates who clear the exam, the higher the cut-off may be.

4. Number of available seats: Limited seats in institutes could result in a higher cut-off for that particular branch.
