The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 is an important exam for students and professionals who want to pursue higher education or work in public sector units (PSUs). This year, GATE will have 30 different test papers, allowing candidates to choose either one or two papers based on their interests and qualifications.

GATE 2025 will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. Each exam will consist of 65 questions, totalling 100 marks. The questions will be in three formats: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.

GATE 2025 Registration Last Day

1. MCQs require candidates to select the correct answer from four options.
2. MSQs may have one or more correct answers, making them a bit more challenging.
3. NATs require candidates to provide a numerical answer using a virtual keypad, without any answer choices given.

GATE 2025 is a great opportunity for candidates who want to study at top institutes like IITs and NITs or get jobs in PSUs such as BHEL and ONGC. Each test paper has a specific syllabus that covers important topics in that subject. For instance, if a candidate chooses Mechanical Engineering, they will need to study topics like Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. If they choose Computer Science, they should focus on areas like Algorithms and Data Structures.

Candidates can find the detailed syllabus for each test paper in PDF format on the official GATE website. This document will help them understand what topics to study for their chosen subjects.

It is essential for candidates to prepare well ahead of the exam. GATE has a negative marking system for incorrect answers in the MCQ section, so candidates should practice answering questions carefully. However, there is no negative marking for NAT and MSQ questions.
