GATE 2025 Answer Key Release Soon: Check Scores At gate2025.iitr.ac.in; Method To Calculate Your Marks Inside

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is preparing to release the provisional answer key for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025, according to a Network 18 report. Although the exact date and time have not been confirmed, candidates will be able to download the answer key from the official GATE 2025 website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in once it is available.

In addition to the provisional answer key, IIT Roorkee will also provide the response sheets of all candidates who took the exam. This will allow candidates to calculate their approximate scores by comparing their answers with the official answer key. Candidates will have the opportunity to raise objections against the provisional answer key if they can provide valid evidence to support their claims.

GATE 2025 Exam Pattern

The GATE 2025 exam includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The exam will consist of a total of 65 questions, with 10 questions focused on General Aptitude and 55 from the candidate's chosen subject.

The total score for the GATE exam is 100 marks. Questions may be worth either 1 mark or 2 marks, depending on the question type. There is negative marking for incorrect answers in the MCQ section. For 1-mark MCQs, 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

How To Calculate GATE 2025 Score

1. Refer to the Provisional Answer Key: Once the answer key is released, compare your answers from the response sheet with the answer key.

2. Identify Correct Answers: For each correct answer, allocate the respective marks (1 or 2, depending on the question).

3. Account for Negative Marking: For every incorrect answer in the MCQ section, deduct the appropriate negative marks. For 1-mark MCQs, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer, and for 2-mark MCQs, 2/3 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
