Gangster-Turned Politician Mukhtar Ansari's Son Abbas Granted Bail By SC In Arms License Case
The Supreme Court granted bail to Abbas Ansari, son of the infamous gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, in an arms license case on Monday, following an extended legal battle. The case has attracted significant attention due to Mukhtar Ansari's controversial reputation in Indian politics for alleged criminal activities.

Abbas Ansari contested the Allahabad High Court's Lucknow Bench order dated November 20, 2022, which denied him bail in the arms license case. The FIR, filed on October 12, 2019, accused Ansari of purchasing multiple firearms using the license, falsely claiming to be a renowned shooter.
He claimed to have transferred the license issued in Lucknow to Delhi without informing the relevant police station, and continued to use both licenses issued under two different UIDs.
Who is Abbas Ansari?
It is noteworthy that Abbas Ansari contested and won on a ticket from the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), then an ally of the Samajwadi Party, in the 2022 state assembly elections from the Sadar seat in Mau.
