G20 Summit Today: 26/11 Type Terror Plan Exposed, Security Tightened
Kashmir is all set to host the third G20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) meeting on Monday in Srinagar amid high security. This is the first major international event to be held in the Kashmir valley after the revocation of the special status of the state under Article 370 of the Constitution and the bifurcation of the erstwhile state into the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
The government reportedly made last-minute changes to the G20 conference itinerary after security forces found out that terrorist groups had conspired to repeat the horrific 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai, during the G20 in Gulmarg at the behest of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, India Today reported on Sunday.

Following the incident, the Kashmir police have issued an advisory to the public regarding any suspicious international mobile numbers around the G20 venue, security has been beefed up in the area.
Reportedly, the terrorists from Pakistan aimed at entering the hotel where the G20 dignitaries were staying and opening fire, similar to the Taj Hotel attack on 26/11.
About 60 delegates from G20 countries are taking part in the event. It will also witness the participation of invited countries, international organizations, and industry stakeholders.
However, China is skipping it as its ally Pakistan has raised objections to the event being held in Kashmir. Also, Turkey, which had made critical remarks against India after the BJP government scrapped Article 370 in 2019, is not attending the G20 meeting.
The G20 is an inter-governmental forum of the world's 20 leading economies comprising Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Japan, Russia, STurkey, United Kingdom, audi Arabia, South Africa, and the European Union and the United States.
Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE are the special invitee guest countries for the G20 event held in Srinagar.
