Frustrated Opposition Resorting To Abuses, Says PM Modi As He Calls Himself 'Gaali-Proof'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took on the Opposition and said that they are convinced that they have the right to abuse him. He also added that he is being "continuously abused for the past 24 years" and has now become "gaali-proof".

PM Modi was speaking with ANI in an exclusive interview. He said that the Opposition is "so frustrated that abusing has become their nature".

"As far as Modi is concerned, after being continuously abused for the last 24 years, I have become 'gaali proof'. Who called me the 'maut ka saudaagar' and 'gandi naali ka keeda'? Our party member in the parliament did the calculation and counted 101 abuses. Whether there is election or not, Opposition believes that only they have the right to abuse. They are so frustrated that abusing has become their nature now," Modi responded to a query on personal attacks against him.

On being asked about the Opposition's allegations on misusing the probe agencies to stifle them, he rejected their claim and challenged them to prove it. Modi added that he has instructed his officials to have a zero-tolerance policy on corruption. He said that the Centre does not call the shots on the workings of probe agencies.

"What proof do you (Opposition) have of this? Only the ones whose money is caught is yelling. My government has a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption".

When asked about Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's allegation of Modi deciding who goes to jail, the PM said, "I don't have respond to anyone. These people should read the Constitution and law of the land."
