Under India's G20 presidency, a significant milestone was achieved on Saturday when all G20 member states adopted the New Delhi Leaders' Summit Declaration with 100 percent consensus. During the second session of the Summit, Prime Minister Modi announced, "We have just received the good news that, due to the hard work of our teams and your cooperation, a consensus has been reached on the New Delhi G20 Leaders Summit Declaration... My proposal is to adopt this G20 declaration."

"History has been made with the adoption of the New Delhi Leaders' Declaration. United in consensus and spirit, we pledge to work collaboratively for a better, more prosperous, and harmonious future. My gratitude to all fellow G20 members for their support and cooperation," Prime Minister Modi shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Additionally, PM Modi declared the 55-member African Union as a permanent member of the G20, marking the first expansion of the influential bloc since its inception in 1999.
