Monalisa Bhonsle, a garland seller from Indore who rose to fame during the Mahakumbh 2025, is back in the headlines, this time for a troubling reason. A video circulating online shows her being harassed by men following her overnight rise to stardom.

The video shows her wearing a red salwar, attempting to flee from the crowd surrounding her. One of her family members is seen pulling her away, while others try to protect her from the group of men trying to approach her or take her photograph. The video concludes with her sitting down and covering her face with a dupatta.

According to the Free Press Journal, her newfound fame has negatively affected her business. Reportedly, her father sent her home as a result of this situation.

"People were after Monalisa all the time. It became difficult for her to focus on selling garlands. Our father decided it was best for us to go home for now," Bhonsle's younger sister Vidya told Republic World.

An Instagram page dedicated to Bhonsle regularly shares videos of her, ranging from selling garlands to giving interviews and celebrating her birthday with her family.

In one clip, she expressed frustration over rumours that she had earned crores after going viral, stating that the reality was far from it. In another video, she joked that she would only take photographs with people who bought her products.

Bhonsle's rise to fame began when an influencer visiting the Mahakumbh 2025 recorded and shared a video of her on social media. Her stunning beauty quickly captured widespread attention.
