Four sentenced to one year in prison for cow slaughter
Indore, Apr 11: A court here today sentenced four persons to rigorous imprisonment for one year for cow slaughter.
Judicial Magistrate Arun Kumar Kharadi convicted Niyazuddin (29), Irfan Sheikh (30), Shoaib (19) and Ibrahim (30) and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 each on them, said District Prosecution Officer Mahendra Kumar Chaturvedi.
He said on April 14, 2015, the four persons slaughtered a cow and its calf in a field behind Annapurna temple.
