Former SP leader Gaurav Bhatia joins BJP
He was Samajwadi Party's face in public and television debates
Former Samajwadi Party spokesperson and the ex- president of SP's legal wing Gaurav Bhatia on Sunday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in New Delhi.
In February this year, Bhatia had resigned from all posts of the Samajwadi Party.

According to reports, he had quit the party saying it failed to protect the interest of the lawyer community in Uttar Pradesh
Bhatia, who was considered very close to Mulayam Singh Yadav, is the son of late Virendra Bhatia, UP's former advocate general and also a Rajya Sabha member.
He was party's face in public and television debates and had hailed the alliance with the Congress in one of his interviews before UP elections.
