Forgery case: Ramdev's aide appears before CBI court

Dehradun, Sept 24: Yoga guru Ramdev's aide Balkrishna today appeared before a CBI court here in connection with a fake document case, but proceedings could not be held due to the death of a lawyer.

Special CBI Judicial Magistrate Pritu Sharma fixed October 15 as the next date of hearing. Proceedings were not held in the court following the death of a lawyer and the judge listed the matter for further hearing on October 15, Balkrishna's counsel Pravin Seth said.

The CBI was to frame charges against Balkrishna today in the case in which he is accused of procuring an Indian passport on the basis of fake degrees and certificates. Balkrishna, who was arrested in July 2012, has been out on bail since August 16 last year.
