'FM ruined country's economy and also of his constituency'

"The Finance Minister has ruined the country's economy and also of his constituency Sivaganga, which remains as backward as it was 30 years ago inspite of him occupying important cabinet positions, except during 1999-2004," he said. Raja said, "India had foreign exchange reserve of 114 Billion US dollars in 2004 and debt of 112 Billion US Dollars when the NDA government demitted office. In the last 10 years, debt had increased to 262 billion dollars. That is his achievement."
H Raja said Sivaganga continues to be a backward dist even as PC served as FM
He said the export import deficit during the BJP regime was just 3.2 Billion US dollars, which had ballooned to 50 billion dollars now. "The country's economy is in ruins," he said. Raja was speaking to reporters after filing his nomination papers here. The BJP leader exuded confidence that the party led front would register a big win as it would get 37 per cent of votes (25 per cent for the front and 12 per cent for the prime ministerial candidate) in the Lok Sabha polls.
"The situation in FM's constituency of Sivaganga is no better. Industries at the Industrial estate at Devakottai and Manamadurai are at the verge of packing off. Entrepreneurs are not willing to set up units there," he said. Referring to the Aam Aadmi party, he said it had failed miserably when it was at the helm of affairs in Delhi. "This only shows how much confusion regional parties could create if they did not ally with national parties. Voting for BJP would help the state and the nation," he said.
