FMGE December 2024 Results Released: Find Out How To Download Your Scorecard & More

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the results for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2024 on its official website, natboard.edu.in, according to a Hindustan Times (HT) report.

The exam, which was held on January 12, is a licensure exam that allows foreign medical graduates to practice medicine in India. NBEMS confirmed that all questions in the exam were reviewed by subject experts for technical accuracy. However, the board acknowledged that one question was found to be technically incorrect. As a result, all candidates were awarded full marks for this question, regardless of whether they attempted it or not.

Individual scorecards will be available for download from January 27. However, these scorecards cannot be presented to a state medical council for registration. NBEMS also stated that if any candidate is found to be ineligible at a later stage, their candidature will be cancelled.

The results for seven candidates have been withheld, pending the outcome of an examination by the NBEMS Examination Ethics Committee, unfair means cases, court matters, or security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), where applicable.

Exam Pattern

The FMGE consisted of 300 multiple-choice questions divided into two parts, each containing 150 questions. The exam was conducted in two sessions, each lasting 150 minutes. The paper was further divided into time-bound sections. For example, each section (A, B, and C) in the two parts had 50 questions with 50 minutes allocated for each section.

There was no negative marking, and candidates were required to score at least 150 marks to pass the exam.
