New Delhi, July 28: A passenger allegedly shouting pro ISIS slogans forced a Dubai-Calicut flight to be diverted. The person onboard the Indigo flight is alleged to have raised pro-ISIS slogans which in turn forced the pilot to divert the flight to Mumbai.

The person is said to have raised slogans mid-air which caused a scare, following which the flight was diverted. The aircraft landed in Mumbai at 9.15 AM following which the man was handed over to the police.

Another person too who was with this person was handed over to the police. The police charged both people with unruly behaviour and are currently questioning both of them.

Sources say that questioning is underway and they are trying to ascertain why such slogans were raised.

Whether they did it for publicity or had any association with the outfit is under investigation. The Airport police however, said that the passengers had complained that two men were fighting. "We are still not able to confirm if ISIS slogans were raised," the officer also stated.
