Five sentenced to life in kidnapping and murder case in Bihar
District and Session judge Radha Krishna sentenced Pappu Singh, Vikash Kumar Gupta, Monu Kumar Das, Chandan Kumar and Vikky Chaudhury to life imprisonment for the kidnap and murder of 16-year-old Golu in 2011.
The convicts were also fined Rs 10,000 each. According to the prosecution, the five had abducted Golu for ransom from Irthar Sudhakar village under Town police station area and murdered him subsequently. His body was recovered from a railway pond in Rahmatnagar village.
The teenager's family had lodged a FIR against the five charging them with his murder.
