All five rapists in Dhaula Kuan rape case convicted

, Oct 14: All the five

accused in the sensational 2010 Dhaula Kuan rape case have been convicted by a Delhi court. The court had deferred the verdict on October 10 due to incomplete writing of the verdict.

Additional Sessions Judge Virender Bhatt said,"Due to long vacation, I could not spare time, so the judgement has not yet been completed. I give you next date for pronouncement of judgement. You come on October 14."

When the five accused were produced in court on Oct 10, the judge said,"I will not defer the verdict on that day."

On November 24, 2010, Shamshad alias Khutkan, Usman alias Kale, Shahid alias Chhota Billi, Iqbal alias Bada Billi and Kamruddin alias Mobile had abducted a BPO employee from the northeast when she was walking back home with a friend. The victim was taken to Mongolpuri where she was gangraped and left on an isolated road.\
