Five Family Members Found Dead in Their Meerut Home Amid Ongoing Investigation

A family of five was discovered dead in their home in the Lisadi Gate Police Station area on Thursday night, according to police reports. Meerut Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada, who inspected the scene, stated that they were alerted about a house that was locked from the outside. Upon arrival, officers accessed the house through the roof and found the bodies of Moin, his wife Asma, and their three daughters—Afsa, Aziza, and Adiba.

The manner in which the house was secured suggests that someone familiar with the family might be involved, said SSP Tada. Initial investigations indicate that an old enmity could be a motive for this tragic incident. A thorough investigation is currently being conducted to uncover more details. The legs of one victim were tied with a bedsheet, and forensic experts are gathering evidence from the scene.

Investigation and Background Check

The family had recently relocated to this area, prompting police to delve into their background for additional information. Moin worked as a mechanic, and both he and Asma had been missing since Wednesday. The police are exploring various angles to understand the circumstances leading to this event.

Moin's brother Salim was the first to discover the grim scene. Worried about Moin's absence, Salim visited his brother's house with his wife. After failing to open the door despite several attempts, they sought help from neighbours to force entry. Inside, they found Moin and Asma's bodies on the floor, while their children's bodies were concealed in a bed box.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to piece together what led to this tragedy. The involvement of someone known to the family remains a key focus for investigators.
