First session Of Lok Sabha Likely To Commence On June 24

"First Session of 18th Lok Sabha is being summoned from 24.6.24 to 3.7.24 for oath/affirmation of newly elected Members, Election of Speaker, President's Address and discussion thereon. 264th Session of Rajya Sabha will commence on 27.6.24 and conclude on 3.7.24," posted Rijiju on social media platform X.

The first three days of the Lok Sabha session will witness the newly-elected MPs taking oath and electing the Speaker of the House.

On June 27, President Droupadi Murmu will address a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. In her address, she is expected to outline the new government's roadmap for the next five years, highlighting key policies and initiatives.

The 264th Session of the Rajya Sabha will commence on June 27 and will continue until July 3. This coincides with the President's address, which will set the tone for the legislative agenda.

After the President's address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will introduce his council of ministers to Parliament. This introduction will mark the formal presentation of the government's executive team to the legislative body.
