REET Exam Day One in Jaipur Faces Traffic Congestion and Dress Code Compliance Issues
The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) began on Thursday with two shifts in the state. Jaipur served as an exam centre for candidates from Rajasthan and other states, drawing over one lakh participants to the city. As both shifts concluded, Jaipur's streets experienced significant traffic congestion. Many candidates faced difficulties finding space in overcrowded road buses.

The first shift of the exam was held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at 220 centres across Jaipur. The second shift ran from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at 233 centres in the city. A large number of candidates arrived at the exam venues without following the required dress code, resulting in their denial of entry. Some candidates made last-minute adjustments to meet the dress code requirements, while others missed the exam entirely.
Security Measures and Exam Conduct
Education Minister Madan Dilawar assured that REET was conducted under stringent security measures throughout the state. Kailash Chandra Sharma, Secretary of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, confirmed that the examination proceeded peacefully across all locations. He also mentioned that there were no reports of cheating or any unfair practices during the day's exams.
The examination will continue tomorrow as scheduled. This ongoing process aims to ensure a fair and secure environment for all candidates participating in REET.
