Fire Erupts At Multiple Locations In Ghaziabad, Noida; No Casualties Reported

Fires erupted at multiple locations across Ghaziabad and Noida, turning an otherwise routine day into a tense scramble for emergency responders.

The most serious incident unfolded near Crossings Republik, where flames tore through a market area, rapidly engulfing several shops. Eyewitnesses described a sudden surge of smoke followed by fast-spreading fire that left little time for shopkeepers to react. Thick black plumes rose into the sky, visible from a distance, as panic gripped the area.

Fire engines rushed in, but narrow lanes and heavy crowding slowed operations. Firefighters battled the blaze for hours, while locals joined in, trying to salvage goods and prevent the fire from spreading further. Officials suspect an electrical short circuit may have sparked the incident, though a detailed probe is awaited.

Almost simultaneously, another fire was reported at Ajnara Society, adding to the pressure on firefighting teams in the region.

Earlier in the day, Noida had already seen two separate fire outbreaks. One occurred at an industrial unit in Sector 6, where multiple fire tenders were deployed and the situation was quickly contained. The second broke out in Phase 2, where a heap of plastic waste caught fire, sending up dense smoke before being brought under control.

Despite the scale and frequency of the incidents, authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported. Still, the back-to-back fires have raised fresh concerns about fire hazards in urban clusters, especially those linked to electrical faults and poorly managed waste.
