Fire breaks out in a building in Delhi
New Delhi, April 14: A fire broke out in a house on the third floor of an apartment building in east Delhi's Patparganj area this afternoon.
No casualties were reported in the incident at Bathra apartment which took place around 12 noon, following which as many as 14 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, a fire brigade official said.

People had started evacuating the building by the time fire tenders reached there. The fire fighters took around an hour to douse the flames, following which a cooling operation was launched, he said.
The fire is suspected to have been caused by a lamp lit as part of ashthami rituals. Investigation is underway, a police official said.
