Fire at a multi-storey building in Kolkata

Kolkata, Feb 8: A fire broke out on the fifth floor of a commercial multi-storey building in the central part of the city on Feb 7, fire brigade officials said.

Nine fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the blaze which broke out at around 10.30 pm on the fifth floor of Hindustan Building on Chitta Ranjan Avenue, they said.

The cause of fire was yet to be ascertained and there was no report of any casualty, officials said.
