-on charges of attempt to rape and outraging the modesty of a woman. He has further said that he would be arrested if he did not co-operate with the investigations.

The Goa police on a prior occasion investigated the CCTV footage of the five-star where the incidents took place. The momentum in the case was given by the NCW that instructed the Goa police to lodge an FIR. However, Shoma Chaudhry said that she would relent under pressure and would not co-operate unless the journalist filed a case herself.

She said,"As a woman, as a feminist, I believe that she gets to decide what to do next as this is her body", Chauduhry said.

On the contrary, recent reports say that Tejpal has issued a statement saying that the police would have his full cooperation.
